6 Medium Knobcone Pine Cone, Knob Cone Pinecone for third eye

These are 6 medium knobcone pine cones. They are all between about 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 inches diameter at their widest spot and about 4 to 4 1/2 inches long. They are all tightly closed without cracks or holes.
These are seasoned, grey cones. They have a richer color inside with better contrast than unseasoned cones, but they are more brittle and harder to work with. They require finer blades and quick sealing to prevent them from popping the centers out. These are highly sought after by experienced artists.
They were sustainably harvested from trees that fell in the last windstorm, on private land in the California Sierra. Knobcones create 100s of cones per tree. The majority of cones are left in the forest to insure a healthy population in the future.
These cones are NOT cleaned. They have pine tar residue on them. The cones pictured are the actual cones you will get. The picture of the cut and finished cone is for an example of the colors and not included. Ships in a small priority flat rate box. Only available within the US.
