    Description

FEATURED:   A tremendous, very rare and wild original silk screen gig art poster of the first NEILFEST,  a performance tribute to NEIL YOUNG, at the famous Bowery Ballroom, NYC in 2015, put on by BestFest and sponsored by Jameson's Whisky.  We see a fabulous design of a vintage long-body, big fender car and guitar transformed into wild space vehicle (we're calling it a Stratocaster Caddy), twin exhausts blazing, as it roars over the earth, just as Neil Young's many songs have done, and a list of musicians to perform at these two legendary concerts.   Young, now 75, has been writing and recording music for over 55 years! and still going strong- no wonder Best Fest chose him as an iconic music figure to salute and pay tribute to.  A two-night concert at the Bowery, Sept. 13 &14, 2015, each show a three hour concert of amazing musicians performing Young's songs (over 30 songs per show), with the musicians all donating their time for the Sweet Relief fund for ailing and aging musicians no longer able to support themselves. These two remarkable shows, written up in Rolling Stone Magazine, and covered by just about everyone in the industry, were part of BestFest's 15 year history of choosing iconic performers (Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Brian Wilson, etc), getting together a house band and famous musicians to honor a chosen figure, and all proceeds going to charity.  We loved everything about this amazing piece of Silkscreen art, from its great graphics, colors, energy, and that superb design of this crazy 'Stratocaster Caddy'  roaring through outer space over the Moon! Music blasting out, of course!   And we flipped over the list of musicians for these two epic shows, and found out folks like  Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon just showed up to play!  Talk about two wild music nights we wish we'd seen and heard!  We don't know the artist or gig printer who did this incredible Silkscreen artwork, as we couldn't find it at all online and it's not signed/stamped... Whoever it was, Wowza to them for a fantastic piece of music artwork! We have a hunch not many of this piece was done, either; perhaps it was part of the 00 VIP package for the shows, perhaps for the sponsors.  We do know this is pretty much a unique, very collectible piece of Neil Young history, as well as a piece of Rock N Roll history with this musicians' lineup.  You will certainly be the envy of everyone you know when this is on your wall in your home, and a great addition to a modern art collection as well!
MEASURES:  19.75 inches X 26 inches, silkscreened onto white artist poster board in 2015 for a benefit two-concert event in NYC at the famed Bowery Ballroom, featuring many musicians performing Neil Young's songs in a tribute to his legendary contributions to the music scene and the world itself over a 55-year period.  A very rare gig poster in excellent condition; we were unable to find this exact poster online at all.    Artist and printer are not known but are certainly talented, highly skilled artists and craftsmen to create this superb piece of Rock N Roll history!
